Yellow Flag Iris (iris pseudacorus) – Buttertubs Marsh Park, Nanaimo
The Yellow Flag Iris is native to Europe, western Asia, and northern Africa, but it is now found in southern British Columbia. An aquatic, perennial plant, the yellow flag iris grows in marshes, ditches, ponds, streams and lake shores. In North America, it is considered a noxious weed which damages native ecosystems.
