Western Trillium (trillium ovatum) – Black Creek, Vancouver Island
The Western Trillium is a perennial plant mainly found in moist conifer forests. It blooms in early to late spring. Young flowers are white, turning to pink, then purple as they age. They are especially common under Douglas fir.
