Description
Red Rock Crab (cancer productus) – Seal Bay, Vancouver Island
Native to the Pacific Ocean, red rock crabs can be found from Alaska to southern California in both sandy and rocky areas. They are carnivorous, feeding mainly on mollusks, barnacles, snails, dead fish and even small crabs.
